Character: Commander Shepard

Shepard: Do you really believe the Reapers will let us live?

Saren: Now you see why I never came forward with this to the Council. We organics are driven by emotion instead of logic. We will fight even when we know we cannot win. But if we work with the Reapers—if we make ourselves useful—think how many lives could be spared! Once I understood this, I joined Sovereign, though I was aware of the… dangers. I had hoped this facility could protect me.

Tali: Back on my pilgrimage, I often walked past that sushi bar and watch the fish inside that tank. I knew they would never let me in, but I always planned that if I prove myself to the galaxy, I’d go there for dinner. And you have broken their floor!

Shepard: Did they have anything that you could eat there?

Tali: Not the point, Shepard.

Shepard: Careful. There goes the next Shadow Broker.

Garrus: Could’ve sworn he was muttering ”T’Soni” the whole time.

Liara: Not funny.

Shepard: You gotta get out of here.

Garrus: And you’ve gotta be kidding me.

Shepard: Don’t argue, Garrus.

Garrus: We’re in this til the end.

Shepard: No matter what happens here… you know I love you, I always will.

Garrus: Shepard I… love you too.

Leviathan: You have come too far.

Shepard: I had to find you.

Leviathan: This is not your domain. You have breached the darkness.

Illusive Man: I warned you. Control is the means to survival. Control of the Reapers… and of you, if necessary.

Anderson: They’re controlling you.

Illusive Man: I don’t think so, Admiral.

Shepard: Controlling me is a lot different than controlling a Reaper.

Illusive Man: Have a little faith.

Shepard: Eternal. Infinite. Immortal. The man I was used these words, but only now do I truly understand them. And only now do I comprehend the full potential of his decision. Through his death, I was created. Through my birth, his thoughts are freed. They guide me now, give me reason, direction. Just as he gave direction to the ones who followed him, the ones who helped him achieve his purpose. Now my purpose. To give the many hope for a future. To ensure that all have a voice in their future. The man I was knew that he could only achieve this by becoming something greater. There is power in control. There is wisdom in harnessing the strength of your enemy. I will rebuild what the many have lost. I will create a future with limitless possibilities. I will protect and sustain. I will act as guardian for the many. And throughout it all, I will never forget. I will remember the ones who sacrificed themselves so that the many could survive. And I will watch over the ones who live on. Those who carry the memory of the man I once was. The man who gave up his life to become the one who could save the many.

Shepard: Together we can stop Sovereign. We don’t have to submit to the Reapers. We can beat them!

Saren Arterius: I no longer belive that Shepard. The visions cannot be denied. The Reapers are too powerful. The only hope of survival is to join with them. Sovreign is a machine. It thinks like a machine. If I can prove my value, I become a resource, worth maintaining. There is no other logical conclusion.

Shepard: You were a Spectre. You swore to protect the galaxy. Then you broke that vow to save yourself.

Saren: I’m not doing this for myself. Don’t you see, Sovereign will succeed. It is inevitable. My way is the only way any of us will survive. I’m forging an alliance between us and the Reapers, between organics and machines, and in doing so, I will save more lives than have ever existed. But you would undo my work. You would doom our entire civilization to complete annihilation, and for that, you must die.

Saren: Join Sovereign and experience a true rebirth!

Shepard: I’d rather die than live like that.

Saren: Then you will die. And your companions. Everyone you know and love. Everyone you’ve ever met. Don’t you understand? You will all die!

Shepard: Are you part of Pitne For’s trade group?

Niftu Cal: When I was mortal, I worked for Pitne. The poor soul is probably terrified that I have not returned.

Legion: Pitne For has not reported your absence. His goal was departure. Pitne For places greater value on material goods than companions.

Niftu Cal: I shall toss Wasea about like a rag doll!

Legion: His operating system is unstable. He will fail.

Illusive Man: Destroying the Reapers gains us nothing.

Shepard: How about peace?

Illusive Man: They’re just trying to control us. Think about it: If they wanted all organic life destroyed, they could it. There would be nothing left.
